Max and Ultra have no yearly price. Enterprise is billed yearly with a 20 seat minimum, and its total includes the API estimate. Plans have usage limits, so a lower total only helps if your work fits inside them.

How this estimate works
The API estimate is people × active days × daily spend. The plan totals are seat price × people, in US dollars before tax. Token prices come from Anthropic's API pricing, plan prices from Claude's pricing page and usage figures from Claude Code's costs docs.

How much does Claude Code cost a month?
It starts at $20 a month on Pro, or $17 a month billed yearly. Max is $100 and Ultra is $200. On the API you pay per token, and Anthropic reports an average of $150 to $250 per developer per month across enterprise deployments.
Is a Claude plan cheaper than the API for Claude Code?
If you use Claude Code most days, usually yes, as long as your work fits inside the plan's limits. If you only use it now and then, the API can cost less. Put your own usage in the calculator to compare.
How accurate is this calculator?
The prices come from Anthropic's pages, checked November 5, 2026. The monthly total is an estimate based on the daily spend you enter. Anthropic doesn't publish plan limits in dollars, so the calculator can't tell you exactly how much work each plan covers.
How do I find my real Claude Code usage?
Type /usage in Claude Code. With an API key it shows the session's tokens and an estimated cost. On a plan it shows your usage bars. For API billing, the Usage page in the Claude Console is the final figure.
