FineTune: control your Mac audio one app at a time

How to control each app volume, route apps to different devices, and tune their equalizer settings.

The short version

I would start with two ordinary playback apps, lower one, and verify the other stays unchanged. FineTune provides per-app volume, output routing and ten-band EQ in the macOS menu bar. It requires macOS 15+. This guide uses current official instructions; I haven't independently tested its audio capture or headphone correction.
