FluidVoice: free local dictation on your Mac

How to install FluidVoice, choose a local speech model and dictate straight into your apps.

The short version

I would start with ordinary local dictation, then add rewriting only if I need it. FluidVoice is a free GPLv3 Mac app that listens through a hotkey and types into another app. Parakeet TDT v3 supports 25 languages; a different model may suit your language or Mac better. I haven't installed or independently tested these instructions. They follow the project's current README.
