Runway frame-rate enhancement: inspect the frames it creates
How to choose a useful frame-rate target, compare the original and converted clip and inspect the frames between the real ones.
The short version
Increasing a video's frame rate can make motion look smoother, but it does not recover additional moments your camera originally captured. The new frames require inspection, especially around fast motion, occlusion and edges.
Runway's September 17 changelog describes Enhance Frame Rate for Max+ Plans, with target rates including 25, 30, 48, 60, 120 and 59.94 frames per second, support up to 4 K and clips up to five minutes. Recheck the current plan and limits before using it.
The workflow below is an acceptance test, not a claim that a Runway output has been generated. Begin with your own short clip and a clearly defined reason for changing its frame rate.
