SAM 3D Objects: rebuild one object in 3D from a photo and a mask

The short version

I use this guide to find the Objects model, prepare the object mask, and inspect the reconstructed shape. SAM 3D Objects takes one photo plus a mask of one object and estimates that object's 3D shape, texture and placement, even on a cluttered desk. It is a different project from SAM 3D Body, which rebuilds human bodies.

I checked the official instructions and license, but I have not run this model myself yet, so the stapler test below is a plan for your own photo, not a result.
