SAM Audio: pull one sound out of a recording and check for leaks
How to pick the right prompt type, set up a sound separation test, and check for noise leaking between tracks.
The short version
I use this guide to choose the right prompt type, prepare a sound separation test, and check for noise leaking between tracks. SAM Audio pulls one sound out of a recording using a text description, a time span, or a visual prompt (the object making the sound in a video). It gives you two tracks back: the sound you asked for (target) and everything else (residual).
I checked the official instructions and license, but I have not run this model myself yet, so the typing and kettle test below is a plan for your own recording, not a result.
