SeedVR2: restore blurry video and check for invented letters
How to choose the 3B or 7B model, prepare a smaller copy of your clip, and check for invented letters and texture.
The short version
SeedVR2 is ByteDance's one-step video restoration model. You give it a degraded clip, pick the 3B or 7B model, and set the output height and width. The code and weights are Apache 2.0. The catch is hardware: the official setup says one 80 GB H100 handles 100 frames at 720x1280.
My plan: try the free online demo first, then test locally with a short, smaller copy of a clip you filmed yourself, and check the restored letters against the original. I checked the official README, model cards and inference scripts. I have not run the model myself, so every speed and memory figure here is the owners'.
