ACE-Step 1.5 XL: repaint one section of your song

How to find Repaint mode, plan one section edit, and check both transition edges.

The short version

ACE-Step 1.5 XL is an open music model with a 4B-parameter decoder, released April 2, 2026 under the MIT license. Its Repaint mode regenerates one time range of a song you upload and is meant to keep the rest, so you can ask for simpler drums in the chorus instead of re-rolling the whole track.

This guide shows you where Repaint mode is, how to plan one section edit, and how to check both transition edges after the edit. I built it from the official README, the Gradio guide and the install guide; I have not run it myself, so judge the result by ear on your own track.
