Revise One Paragraph in Word and Preserve the Fixed Facts
How to set up the add-in, revise one selected passage and check the facts the edit must preserve.
The short version
I use the ChatGPT Word add-in for a bounded revision: one confusing paragraph, a clear improvement request and a list of facts that must remain fixed. The sidebar supports drafting, summaries, selected-text revisions and formatting. Start with a scratch document and compare the real revised passage with its original before accepting it.
I have not independently reproduced this add-in edit. OpenAI's September 17 entry documents the capability and all-plan availability with token limits. The fictional passage and preservation audit below define a test, not a guarantee that every revision leaves the rest untouched.
