How to claim the credit, start your first cloud session, and three jobs worth running tonight.
The short version
Cloud sessions run Claude Code on Anthropic's machines instead of yours. You give it a task, close your laptop, and it keeps working. You can check on it or steer it from your phone, and when it's done you review a pull request.
Anthropic took cloud sessions out of preview on September 23, 2026, and gave every existing Pro and Max subscriber a one-time credit to try them. The credit is spent first. When it runs out, cloud sessions use your normal plan limits like the rest of Claude Code.
What you need: a Claude Pro or Max plan, a GitHub account, and a project in a GitHub repository. Everything below is from Anthropic's announcement and the official Claude Code docs, checked on September 24, 2026.
