Connect a tiny Mac pet to Claude Code with Coucou

Install Coucou, connect Claude Code, and understand pet reactions, permissions and version-specific limits.

The short version

Coucou is a free, open source Mac app that puts a little character called Mochi in your notch. It hooks into Claude Code, shows what each session is reading, editing and running, and pops up when Claude needs your permission so you can click Allow or Deny without switching windows.

•What you need: a Mac on macOS 15 or newer, Claude Code, and Apple's command line developer tools (the hook relay checks for them). On Macs without a notch, Mochi sits in a small bar at the top of the screen.

•What you get: live session steps in the notch, Allow and Deny from the notch, a happy jump when a task finishes, and an optional chat with Claude through your own API key.
