Inventory a Custom GPT Migration and Rebuild the Missing Connections

How to inventory your GPT, separate what transfers and plan replacements for its custom actions.

The short version

I begin migration planning with an inventory: written instructions, reference files, custom actions and who uses the workflow. OpenAI's FAQ separates the material that can transfer from custom actions that need replacement. Start by reading your own account or workspace notice, then test the replacement with familiar and difficult requests before switching.

I have not independently performed a GPT migration. The official FAQ is the authority for the supported transition. This guide gives you an inventory and acceptance plan; it does not authorize changing an existing GPT or guarantee identical behavior after migration.
