Open 100+ databases in one free 25 MB app

Install DBX, connect your first database, use the AI SQL assistant safely and wire its MCP server into Claude Code.

The short version

DBX is a free, open source database manager. One app opens Postgres, MySQL, SQLite, MongoDB, Redis, DuckDB, ClickHouse, vector databases like Qdrant and Milvus, and a long list more. It has an AI assistant that writes SQL for you, and a separate MCP server so Claude Code and Cursor can query the same connections.

•What you need: a Mac, Windows or Linux computer. No Java, no Python. Docker is optional if you want a browser version on a server.

•What you get: one window for every database, plain-English SQL with safety checks, and your AI coding agent reading your schema without you pasting it in.

•How to start: install the desktop app, connect a local SQLite or DuckDB file first, then add your real databases and the MCP server.
