magpie: one panel to set the model for every coding agent

A step-by-step setup guide with requirements, checks and common problems.

The short version

magpie is a free, open source app that lists every AI coding agent on your computer (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Cursor CLI, Copilot CLI and about twenty more) next to the model each one is set to. Click a model, pick another one, and magpie rewrites that agent's own config file for you.

•What you need: macOS 12 or later, Windows 10 or later, or Linux. At least one coding agent installed. An API key from a model provider, or a local model in Ollama.

•What you get: one screen to put Claude Code on DeepSeek for grunt work, flip it back, and save the whole setup as a profile you can switch to in one click.
