Open Slide: let Claude Code build your deck and keep the PowerPoint editable

How to brief your deck, review the slides, and check the PowerPoint export.

The short version

Open Slide is a free, MIT-licensed slide framework built for coding agents. Every slide is a React page on a 1920 x 1080 canvas, and the workspace it creates comes with Claude Code skills already installed: `/create-slide` drafts a deck, and `/apply-comments` turns notes you pin on the canvas into edits. Since core 2.0 (late September 2026) it exports a native PowerPoint file right in the browser, with real text boxes, shapes and images instead of flat pictures. By the end of this guide you'll have a workspace running with Claude Code, a brief that gives you a clean PPTX, and a short repair routine for the text that breaks on import. It's for anyone who already uses Claude Code and is tired of AI decks nobody can edit.
