OpenEdit: edit video by describing it to Claude Code or Codex
How to install the skill, choose how to transcribe, and check the exported video.
The short version
OpenEdit is VEED's open-source video editing skill for Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI. You install the skill in a project folder, ask your agent for an edit in plain English, and it transcribes the clip, builds the edit as an HTML page, renders it frame by frame and hands you the MP4. There is no GUI and no timeline. I'd start with one short clip and one ask (subtitles), then check the export before trying anything bigger. This guide follows the official README and setup notes; I haven't run it on your machine, so check each result yourself.
