RAWmakase: try a free RAW editor before moving your library

How to edit your first RAW photo, test a Lightroom import safely, and export without touching your originals.

The short version

I would start with one copied RAW photo, make a few adjustments and export it. RAWmakase is a free MIT photo developer for Windows, macOS and Linux. It includes 26 presets and can import a Lightroom Classic catalog without modifying the original catalog or photos. These instructions follow the current official README; I haven't independently installed or tested the app.
